Heidi's PhD investigated gesture imitation in individuals with ASD. She looked at behavioural data in both group and single case studies. She combined both neuropsychological and developmental methodologies.

Heidi is the founder of Spectrum Fusion, which is an advocacy group to get people with ASD into the workplace.
